About the 970 Plantation Rocker:

Troutman Chair Company, established in 1924, has been family owned since its inception and is also based in our home state of North Carolina.

The 970 Oak rocker is the same size as the 930 rocker, but features an upgraded steam bent lumbar back.

The posts are just a bit thicker and the whole rocker has a more stout feel.

At one slat wider than our 430 rocker, this rocker is just the thing for those who prefer more lumbar room.

Troutman rockers are constructed and finished for use under cover if outdoors.

The finish is a water based urethane designed for outdoor use.

There is also no glue in the construction of these rockers.

All of the finishes are special order.

Shipping Information: 

The 970 rockers ship assembled (with the runners removed).

As a result, they are too large for FedEx or UPS and are much safer being shipped on a pallet via freight carrier.
